We are pleased that you have joined us this year to further your education.  Esayidi FET College is now in its 9^th year of existence and has grown tremendously from just two main campuses.  We now have grown to five main campuses and other skills delivery sites in Gamalakhe, Boboyi, Kokstad and Port Shepstone.  Each campus has over 2000 students, studying programmes ranging from Information Technology and Civil Engineering to Hospitality Management and Primary Agriculture.

Our students have benefitted from both NCV and NATED bursaries issued through NSFAS for the last 3 years, seeing many accessing free education with the hope of building a sustainable future. 

Our goals for this year include that of accrediting all skills programmes to bring such up to the standard required by the relevant Skills Education Training Authorities.  The Port Shepstone and Enyenyezi campuses have already registered with the MERSETA and are offering trade tests to those in the industry. The extension of our central office buildings will also take place in 2012, which will allow for better management of resources.

We will strive to maintain the good relations we have with trade labour unions and the student representative council.

We also look forward to welcoming a new College Council, appointed by the MEC for Education.

It boasts a fully equipped:

• 50-seater computer lab
• a 50-seater conference room
• a 20 seater boardroom,
• catering facilities
• dining hall
• functional design/print shop.

The computer lab is a certified Microsoft IT Academy which allows Esayidi FET College to offer accredited courses in:

• Digital Literacy (Basic computers)
• Microsoft Office Specialists (advanced computers)
• Web Development
• Software Engineering
• Windows Developer
• Server Administration
• Technical Support
• Database Administration

Other software programmes on offer include:

• ICDL -  International Computer Driver’s Licence
• Galileo (tourism software) – for all tour operators / travel agents
• Basic computer literacy – unit standard based

All such programmes will be offered between 8am and 8pm from Monday to Saturday and customised according to public demand.

The facility will also be made available for teachers in the local area who wish to have access to the internet and printing facilities for their research and class preparation.

The conference room has space for up to 50 delegates and is fitted with an easy to use projector for presentations.  Delegates are offered a full day or half day conference package which includes meals and conference packs.  All printing and photocopying required will be done by the print shop on site at an extra cost.

We are able to offer short courses custom designed to your business needs.
