Our society is deeply affected by, amongst other things, unemployment, poverty and crime. As a major priority to combat this, the government promotes community participation in the social and Economic circles. Esayidi FET College is accredited by MERSETA, ESETA, ETDPSETA as well as UMALUSI to provide professional and responsive training services to its wider community in an effort to respond to the above challenges.
Our stakeholders and partners include other Government entities, Department of Trade and Industry, SEDA, DED, MGM Holdings, NGOs Women and Youth help desks within UGU District Municipality, Disabled, Senior citizens, Comboko, Sangoco, Community structures, Churches, Idwala Carbonates as well as financial institutions.
Esayidi FET (Further Education & Training) College is a merged college in its 9th year and operates under the KZN Department of Education, with several campuses in the Southern KwaZulu Natal Region.
Nationally all FET (Further Education and Training) colleges are grouped into clusters. Many of the sites were previously known as technical colleges. KZN has 9 clusters each covering a region. The Esayidi cluster covers the Southern KZN Region.
At present there are five campuses and five community development centres.
Our aim is to satisfy the recruitment needs of local business and industry by providing a high standard of relevant tuition and training.
